BYU Football, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Yellowstone National Parks

September 10 -17, 2017

Itinerary

Bryce Canyon National Park - Every year, Bryce Canyon National Park awes visitors with spectacular geological formations and brilliant colors. The towering hoodoos, narrow fins, and natural bridges seem to deny all reason or explanation. Various trails take you to Wall Street, Twin Bridges, Thor’s Hammer, Gulliver’s Castle, Queen’s Castle and Queen Elizabeth herself.

Zion National Park – Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you will have many breath taking views and photo opportunities as you hike around Zion.  Both the Visitor Center and Human History Museum explain the evolution of this beautiful area.  Then visit The Grotto, Weeping Rock, the Temple of Sinawave and other venues along the way.

If you want to learn more about these gorgeous National Parks, Google each of the park’s websites and learn why they are a must to visit.

Salt Lake City – We stay within a couple blocks of Temple Square and close to a genealogy gold mine which you might want to investigate while you are here.  Salt Lake has been called the Genealogy Capital of the World.  You may wish to walk through the beautiful gardens or join a Temple Square Tour…or maybe you just need a Kick-off your shoes relaxing day.

Provo – We’ll travel a short distance to Brigham Young University and join other Badgers at a tailgate and then cheer on our Badgers at the game.  BYU is no slouch; they won their bowl game this past fall.

Yellowstone National Park -  The Granddaddy of our national parks; stay in the park one night to maximize animal watching.  We’ll stop at various venues as we make a loop around the park during the daytime. How about a stop near the Grand Tetons at the Jackson Lake Lodge used by the ‘Fed’ when they meet.  It’s a beauty.  We’ll end our stay with a (dry) float down the Snake River and finish souvenir shopping before we venture back to Salt Lake and fly home.
